Andrew Boldt Scholarship

​The Andrew F. Boldt Memorial Scholarship award is given annually to a Cary Quad resident who demonstrates leadership in the Cary Community and in the classroom. Preference is given to those students who are on the Cary Racing Team and have the status of Upperclassman.

After four years of building robots and competing in the annual nationwide FIRST Robotics events during high school, Andrew chose to study Electrical Engineering at Purdue University so that he could build race cars and compete in the Grand Prix Race. The Cary Quadrangle residence hall provided access to an established racing club and like-minded teammates. Inspired by his Eagle Scout training and the Jesuit philosophy of living to be a "man for others" encouraged in high school, Andrew took on every opportunity to lead others at Purdue. He was an engineering tutor, an undergraduate teaching assistant, an ECE Student Society executive board member, a member of the Cary Quad residence hall board and held several leadership positions within the Cary Racing Club as treasurer, vice president and president.

Andrew was a leader, mentor and true friend to his ECE classmates, his Cary Quad family and his racing teammates. He was awarded a posthumous degree in Electrical Engineering in May, 2014.

Our Location

Cary Racing is based out of Cary Quadrangle, where we meet weekly to prepare for the Purdue Grand Prix and engage with the Cary Quad community.
